Whole Wheat Pie Crust
Or Whole Wheat Pie Crust from your Supermarket
8-9 Fresh Peaches, sliced
½ Cup Date Sugar, or ¼ Cup Carob Syrup
¼ Whole Wheat Flour, or Rice Flour
1 tsp. Cinnamon
½ tsp. Nutmeg
2 Tbsp. Non-Hydrogenated Margarine
Prepare the crust as directed.
Preheat oven to 425 degrees.
Wash, and slice the peaches.
Mix the peaches, date sugar, flour, and spices together
in a large bowl, until the peaches are well-coated.
Pour this mixture into the pie shell, and dot the top
with the Margarine.
Cover with dough. Seal the edges and make
slits on the top.
Can also bake this pie without top crust. Just cover the
pie with aluminum foil for the first 1/2 hour, then uncover
and bake for another 15 minutes, or so.
Place aluminum foil around the edges, and bake
for 45 minutes. Remove the foil for the last 15 minutes.
Serve warm with Iced Soy Cream.
Substitute any of the following fruits for the apples
in this recipe:
Pears, Apples, Pineapple, Bananas,
Blueberries, or Any Combination.
